Chuck-E-Cheese

To spend time with Talon, Owen and Kayani before they leave to Montana, Ethan has been able to spend the night at Mom's with them the last few nights. So today before Ethan went home, we decided to take them to Chuck-E-Cheese! Jaycee had never been there, and she loved it! I haven't been there for years, but it was fun to watch them have so much fun! Jaycee loves to drive, so she had grandma help her once and then had to go back for more later with mommy, and wanted to drive with the doggy! We tried this a few times and this was the best one we could get...so even though they're all hard to see, Ethan, Talon, Jaycee, and Owen are all in there somewhere! :) With all the tickets together at the end, they were each able to get two prizes and a sucker. Jaycee chose these and is proudly showing them off to the camera after in the hot hot car!

Family, Birthdays, & Loads of Fun!

Together for probably the last time in a while....before Richie leaves for Afghanistan, Jack leaves for the Air Force, Cody's family moves to Montana, and Benji's family moves for dental school. It will most definitely be weird not to have any of my brothers around, but luckily two of the four will be leaving their families behind for us! :) Since we were together, we celebrated the June birthdays...Ronnie's the 3rd, Jack's the 7th, and Mary's the 9th.Apparently Jack told Richie to blow his and Mary's candles out, so as soon as we were done singing, Richie did just that!
The annual "stages of pregnancy" picture...Me, ready to burst at 35 weeks, Jessica due on November 3, 2010 (or sometime around there), and Ronnie due in December 2010. Yes, I get huge!!!!

Too much fun in the trailer.

Just havin' fun.
Benji doing what he does best...organizing.
Kayani just came up and hugged her daddy. It was so cute!!!
Another one? Mom gets a little camera happy, if you didn't know already! :)

Blackberry Bushes

We have been trying to decide and figure out where and how to plant a garden at our home. With trying to figure out if we are even staying in our home, we weren't sure if we should, but we decided we will do it and if we don't stay, then we don't stay. But the area we decided on will take a while to get things ready for a garden so it may not be until next year that we get to use it anyway, but we shall see. The plans are to get some berry bushes to put along the backside of the house, do the garden on the north side of the house and possibly plant some fruit trees along the north fence in the backyard. So one day, it may all look how we planned it to look, but for now, we weren't really planning on doing much about the planting this year, and instead, just getting the areas ready to use.

But, one of Diana's neighbors had said she had some blackberry bushes that keep sprouting up in places she doesn't want them, so if anyone wanted to come dig them out, they were welcome to take them. Since the berry area was the only one close to being ready, we decided we would go take a look and see if it would work. I had no idea blackberry bushes got so giant! Theirs were huge! But in order to help them out and get free blackberries, we decided to take a few off their hands in hopes at least one of them turns out okay. This is Ryan hard at work. Jaycee ran around the yard while I sat and watched. I felt bad, 'cause I wanted to help, but I just couldn't get down there, especially that day.

He did a good job, though. Thanks Ryan! Hopefully one of them works out for us in the end.
Jaycee thought she was pretty clever to climb up on the railing while watching, and I thought she was pretty cute! :)

A Little Batty!

So we came home the other night and this is what we found.... A little bat that looked disgusting and at first we weren't sure if it was a bat or some mouse that had climed up our wall. It was so sick! Instead of entering through our kitchen door, Jaycee and I went in the front door of fear it would fly in with us if we opened the door right next to it!

Ryan came inside to me and said, "I need you out here." I asked, "Did you get it?" He replied, "No, I can't get it! It's clinging on like a.....(pause for about 30 seconds).....like a great clinger!" hehehehehe I don't know why, but that just made me crack up so hard that me and the baby in my belly were hurting pretty bad from all the laughter! :o) It just was so....ummm....well, we'll say logical, it was hilarious!

Even though he didn't want to, Ryan was a true man and did all he could to get it down! Thanks baby! :) Although, it was pretty funny to watch him do so, as you will see in the video below! haha

We saw lots of moves like this while watching for moral support, and heard lots of funny noises! ;o} It was great!

These are our worried/disgusted faces while watching daddy kill the bat! Yucky!

Ogden Marathon 2010

Benji and Ryan started training for this marathon earlier in the year...as time went on Ryan's training died away as he had to work more and more hours. Benji continued to train and here he is!
Mom, Misti, Jaycee, & I went up to Eden Park which was the halfway point and took these pictures. He looked like he was going strong, and feeling well!
So, we had LOTS of people there to cheer him on and some farther up to warn us when he was coming...since we hadn't heard from any of them, we had just turned to go sit in the shade and all the sudden....here comes Benji!!! Almost all of us missed seeing him! BUMMER!!! We were so upset! But here he is all done, and with salty sweat on his face! :) Yum! Yum! He ran it in 3 hours and 49 minutes! Wow!
Aunt Jill and Steven ran the half marathon as well! Good work all ya'll! You did it! :)
Ryan's Aunt Jana also came up from Spanish Fork to run it. She has been training for the St. George Marathon coming up in August, and when Ryan told her he was going to run this one, she decided to join him. Too bad he didn't get to. But she did really well! Coming in at 4 hours and 45 minutes! Great work Jana!!!

Mom & Jayce

Just wanted to take these....notice again, the "cheese" face in the one picture! :)

Big 2 Year Old!!!

Jaycee turned 2 yesterday! Grandma Diana made her birthday dinner on Sunday, the 2nd, and then came with her cupcake to blow out her candle...this is her watching the cupcake come to her! Trying to figure out how to blow out the candle.
Taking big bites and getting messy! :o)
We had everyone over last night for her birthday party! It was lots of fun! Thank you all for coming and celebrating with Jaycee! She picked out Strawberry Shortcake plates and napkins for her party, so I made this cake to go along with it!
This is the decor of the party...plus hats that some of the kids wore.
Grandpa Hatch came for a little bit until he had to get back to Grandma!
Opening presents...
...anticipating what's inside...
....one of the first things she opened, and she HAD to sit down and read it right then! She loves books!
...waiting, waiting...
Patiently waiting for her birthday cake while everyone was singing to her!
Trying to blow out her candles...notice how hard she is trying! :)
This is pretty hilarious! Watch her face!
Grandma Diana and baby Alivia!
Jaycee's Great Grandparents Whicker and Naylor. So glad she gets to know each of them, too bad she missed Grandma Naylor down here. I know she got to meet her before she was born, though! :) All of our kids, with the exception of Sierra, and their great grandparents!
Thank you to everyone who came! We're so grateful to have family close and supportive! We love you all! Can't believe it has been two years since this little munchkin joined our family! We are so so so glad about that! Love you Jaycer!
