'Here's a story of girl named Callee....'

Callee Saryn sure wanted to do things her way...we were scheduled for a c-section on Monday, July 5th and since my doctor didn't work the Thursday or Friday before, he scheduled me to go to the hospital for a non-stress test on Friday morning for one last look before the c-section. So, off I go to the hospital not really ready for the day, because I had planned on coming home and showering before Ryan had to mow the lawn and go to work a little later in the day.

After having the monitors on me for about a half hour, the nurse came in and said everything looked good with the baby. Good news, right?!?! NOPE!! She also said that I was having lots of contractions..."I am?" I hadn't been feeling them. I maybe felt a few every once in a while, but nothing bad, maybe on the pain scale, they were a 2. So no big deal. Well apparently, they were coming 5 to 6 minutes apart! I HAD NO IDEA!!! So she told me she couldn't let me leave until she talked to the doctor.

About ten to fifteen minutes later, she came in and told me he wanted to go ahead and to the c-section that afternoon!!!! WHAT????? I mean, we had a 50th wedding anniversary I was excited to go to that evening, obviously we had plans to celebrate the 4th the next day, and I just was NOT ready to have this baby today!!! I was so ready to go home and wait I wasn't in pain, it would be okay, right?

Wrong! He told us he'd be in by 1pm or 1:30pm to do this c-section. So I called Ryan. He was at home with Jaycee and kind of got a little freaked out himself. :o) I called mom, and she went down to be with Jaycee while Ryan came to me. He didn't tell Jaycee what was going on, but struggled to get himself ready for the day to get up there. Mom got there and got Jaycee ready and took her to play with all her cousins who were already at her house.

After we new the time the doctor planned on being there, we called both our mom's to let them know what was going on. Mom told Jaycee that she was going to be meeting Callee finally and she just went crazy! :o) She was bouncing off the walls, she was so excited! Mom said she was saying, "Grandma, I have my shoes on. You got your shoes on? We gotta go meet Callee." Ronnie asked her if baby Callee was still in mommy's belly and she told her, "no, she's at the hospital waiting for me!" She's such a funny girl! She has been so excited to have this baby sister, that I guess she just never thought the day would actually come, or something. Too fun!

Anyway, just before 1pm, Diana, Mandy, Brooklyn, Mom, Misti, Jaycee, Jessica, and Sierra showed up to await the arrival of one little girl who wanted to celebrate the 4th of July on her own and not wait to come one day after! :)

This is Jaycee and Ryan waiting, but wait, are they bored or.......

....so excited they can't keep a straight face? hahaha
Our last picture as a family of 3!

Uncle Cody, Aunt Ronnie, Talon, & Owen
Jaycee's "cheese" face as I asked for a picture with her and Kayani
Cute girls dressed alike for the 4th of July celebrations!

So, Jaycee got to celebrate the 4th of July with my mom and all the family that came with! :) They went to Kaysville's breakfast, Kaysville's parade (which apparently was 2 hours this year), then to Grandma & Grandpa Whicker's house for a water fight. Then they came up to see us, and then went to a BBQ at Gary's house and followed it with Kaysville's fireworks! Oh how I missed not celebrating the 4th this year, but I am so glad to have Callee here and out of my body! :o)

DAY 3:
We had mom drop Jaycee off on Sunday before she went to church so that we could have a day with just her and us. It was a good day! Then Grandma Diana picked her up just before dinner to go have a sleepover with Brooklyn.
I needed to change Callee's diaper, so Jaycee pulled out her dolly and had to change her as well! :o) It was pretty cute! She even had to move me out of her way o get a diaper and wipe from the stash in the baby's drawer on her bed. It was so funny. Below is a short video of it. Grandpa Whicker came to see her Sunday evening. Grandma had fallen down the night before and was not able to come.
Uncle Richie, Aunt Jessica, and Sierra came a little later as well.

DAY 4: Just cute! Home at last! Thanks to Misti and Mom for the cute sign! Look how tiny she is in her seat.

A FEW DAYS LATER: First bathBig helper! Jaycee had to sit up on the table and help us! Oh such fun! Can't you tell?!?!Look at that hair! I think this one looks like Mother Teresa. :) Isn't this sad face just too cute!?!? I love it!

A SISTER'S LOVE: Oh how it hurts to say "cheese" :) I'm so big, I can hold my very own baby sister! What did I tell you about kisses....you can never have too many! They love to snuggle with daddy! May as well sleep too, if they're going to be sleeping, I guess! :o) Yay! Another opportunity to hold her! See how big I am? Spending time with Aunt Misti and Grandma Connie!

Just over one week old! Look how freaking cute! :)

So there's the update! Now we're all just home trying to recover and get used to a different way of living! hehehe Life is great with two girls of our very own! Too bad daddy has had to work so much, but we are so grateful he has his two jobs that are very good to him! We are also grateful to Grandma Connie and Aunt Misti for all their willingness to help with Jaycee while we were in the hospital and all the help before and after that as well! Also thanks to Grandma Diana for her help! And to everyone who helped in anyway! Thank you so much! We love visitors and we are so grateful to live close to so many family and friends who are so loving, caring and willing to help in any way!

SURPRISE!!!!

Little miss Callee Saryn Hatch decided she wanted to do things her own way, so instead of waiting until this morning, when her c-section was scheduled, she decided to come Friday afternoon instead! :o)
She was born at 1404 on 7/2/10. She weighed 9 lbs 5 oz and 20 1/2 in long! Exactly the same as her big sister, except one oz heavier! And they look very much the same as well. :-) The only basic difference is that she has LOTS of DARK hair!!! Don't ask me where it came from, but it's much different than Jaycee and even me or Ryan. But she is darling and we are so excited to have her here! Jaycee was bouncing off the walls she was so excited! It was pretty darn cute!
I just wanted to post the one picture and let people know for now. I will tell the whole story another day when I feel a little more up to it.

Ready, Set...Wait until Monday

This pregnancy is so much different to me than with Jaycee. I am still huge, and I still think the last two months of pregnancy are the worst two months, BUT this time the last two months have hurt me in totally different ways then they did two years ago!

I never felt a contraction with Jaycee. Not once. And I honestly think I would've gone over at least a week if not two with her had she not come via c-section one week early. I also never dropped with her. I was so uncomfortable the last two months, but mostly with heartburn, not being able to sleep, not being able to breathe, etc.

With this one, it is pain. Not just uncomfortableness, but real pain. She dropped a few weeks ago, and has been slowly dropping ever since. I have felt many braxton hicks contractions in the last month and I am SOOOOO ready for her to get out of me!!! :o) I have been feeling sick, like nauseous quite a lot lately, and I just hurt. :o{

We are all super excited though! Jaycee seems to understand what is going on, probably thanks to Alivia being born 3 months ago, but it's great! Ryan asked her the other day if she was ready and excited to meet Callee, and she said, "Yeah!!!" He asked if Callee was going to look like her and she said, "Uh huh!" :) I thought that was cute! She's been very helpful getting things ready for her too! She is going to be a great big sister and I know she will be caring and loving and protective too! It will be so fun to see them together and finally know what Callee will look like and what her personality will be like as well! Only a few more days and we will know all of that! I hope everything goes well!

Thank you everyone who has helped us with Jaycee and will watch her for us while we're in the hospital! And thank you for your prayers and support always! We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends and have you all so close! I love it! Thanks a TON!!!
