Grandma Bradford turned 70 years old this month, so we planned a party for her yesterday. Ryan actually planned the whole thing and called it Bradford Olympics...he wanted Grandma to be able to have fun and not feel like all the attention is just on her, since that's not how she is.
Anyway, it was lots of fun! The events weren't normal events for the Olympics, and that's what made it fun! There was a short sprint, laso golf, golf chipping, farthest frisbee toss, paper airplane contest, jump rope, hula hoop, peanut butter cracker eating contest, word search, bowling (with empty Tropicana and Gatorade bottles), and a cheer about Grandma. They were really fun! Everyone had to sign up for at least three events, but I think most people did more. I think most everyone had a good time, and it turned out really well.
The rain that was going on before we got there, stopped just before it started, and then started back up again AS SOON as we were done with the events. It was amazing! We were very grateful for that! Overall...it was pretty fun!.JPG)
Kayden was eating the peanut butter crackers, and this captured him in the moment of needing to throw up....which he did end up doing! Ewww! But he's not the only one who got that feeling while doing this event.

Beau climbing the fence where the frisbee toss was taking place.
Shana was in charge of the airplane contest.
Jaycee was giving grandma a hug, and saying "aaaaawwwwh" at the same time! :)

We gave out gag gift prizes for the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners at the end, and also gave an MVP award...this is it, and Scott looked sooooo beautiful in it! :)
Dave conducting "Happy Birthday." Doesn't he look great!?!?.JPG)
Jana's wonderful cake! She always does such a great job. She actually made 4 cakes, this is just the only one I photographed.
Jaycee was in HEAVEN eating that sucker! She got so messy by the end of it! :)
I tried to get Brooklyn to say cheese.....obviously she was NOT going to do that for me. She doesn't seem to like me much usually. :(
Of course, the boys decided to play a little basketball after everything was done.....well, Ryan came down on Don's foot, and we thought he broke his ankle. So we ended up going to Grandma & Grandpa's to put it up with ice on it for a little while to see if we needed to go to the doctor. The swelling went down after a bit, so we just decided to go home. No worries though, it got better about 5 or 6 days later, and I don't think it was ever broken, just sprained pretty bad.
