Happy Birthday Brooklyn!

This morning we were able to go to the Syracuse City Easter Egg Hunt. Cody's kids, and Ethan were there too. Kayani and Jaycee went in the same circle, and all three boys went in the same one. It was kind of cold, but still fun. They all sat on the Easter Bunny's lap afterward. I unfortunately had dead batteries in my camera, so I don't have any pictures from anyone else yet, but as soon as I do, I'll update this post. Got this one from Benji...Jaycee did not want to be by the bunny, but Talon still did good holding her up while squirming and screaming! :) Thanks T! I love this picture though, and I'm sure Jaycee will look at it one day and wonder why in the world she looks like that! :)

Also, Brooklyn turned one today! She is getting so big. She can finally walk on her own without being so wobbly you have to worry about her! :) She's so cute. She got lots of toys, and clothes. I think Jaycee thought it was all for her as well, 'cause she kept picking out things to play with soon after they had been opened. It was pretty funny. Once again, no camera, so I'll have to get pictures later. It was a fun day, though!

Coloring Eggs

Diana wanted to the girls to color Easter eggs with her....

Jaycee eating/kissing the eggs.

Dying the eggs

Brooklyn's ready with her bib on.

Brooklyn dropping her eggs in the dye.

The finished product drying off.

Excited her eggs are done. Now she can bang them on the table. (She did that with every egg she got ahold of, you may be able to notice the cracks if you look hard enough).

Yay!

Examining her eggs and putting stickers on them.

"Yeah, I colored these. What's it to ya?"

Easter at Grandma Bradford's

Every year, Ryan's grandma has a fun Easter egg hunt for everyone! We usually do it the Saturday before Easter, but this year it was the weekend before that. Because of the rain we had to do it inside, which meant, no actual hunting, just taking turns picking out of a bag, but it was still fun! We look forward to this one every year. Thanks, Grandma, for putting so much effort into it! Here are some pictures of Jaycee and Brooklyn having their own little hunt.

My GREAT! Grandpa

Arnold Elonzo Haskell 1915 ~ 2009

Arnold, 93, peacefully passed away March 24, 2009 at home in Pleasant Grove, Utah. He was born Oct. 14, 1915 in Payson, Utah to Henry Elonzo and Phenriatte Talbot Haskell. He married Ida Harward Dec. 28, 1934, sealed in Salt Lake Temple Mar. 29, 1938. They have three children: Wanda Naylor (deceased) Duane, Lynn E (Karen) Haskell, Jean Hammond (Gail deceased); 15 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren. He was a devoted and active member of the LDS church, a temple worker and greatly loved by all. He was a farmer, trucker and rancher, being foreman of the Antelope Island Ranching Co. Funeral services will be held Monday, Mar. 30, 2009 at 11 a.m. (viewing 9:45 to 10:45) at the Garden 7th Ward, 1028 W. 1000 N., Pleasant Grove. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E. 100 N., American Fork. Interment, Payson City Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Online condolences may be sent at andersonmortuary.com

He was my Great Grandfather, and boy was he great! I was lucky enough to be able to meet and know, pretty well, 6 of my great grandparents, and he was the very last to go. He was a very sweet man. Some of the things that come to mind when I think of grandpa are: tall, smiley, soft spoken, corn husking, gardens, sweet, loving, basketball games! He is going to be missed greatly, but it was a wonderful thing for him to join his wife (my great grandma) and his daughter (my grandma)! I feel blessed to have been able to know him and I love him very much!

One of the good things about his funeral is...Richie was able to come home for it! So Mom surprised us all and had everyone she could stay in a hotel in Lehi the night before the funeral, since it was in Pleasant Grove & Payson, and surprised us with Richie showing up! Jessica was thrilled, and Sierra LOVED having her daddy around! Jessica kept saying it was weird because she only wanted Richie, even though she only met him when she was born, and knows her so much better! But she does talk to him on the phone often, so maybe she just knew his voice. Anyway, she was very cute with him, and smiled the whole time!

While there, the little girls were able to go swimming for the first time, so here are some pictures of it! Jaycee's cute swimming suit!Kayani's cute swimming suit! She didn't want to have anything to do with getting in the water. The pool was a little cold, so she wouldn't even put her feet in, notice how she's holding them up. :) So cute! Owen was sitting on the edge of the hot tub the ENTIRE time. He would not get in the pool or the hot tub at all! But one thing I thought was funny...I overheard Cody trying to convince him to get in:

Cody speaking: Hey Bud, why don't you get in?

Owen speaking: Cause it's too hot!

Cody: But your feet are in, are they too hot?

Owen: No.

Cody: Why do you think your toes aren't too hot anymore?

Owen: Because they acclimated.

Cody: That's exactly right! So if you get your whole body in, don't you think it will acclimate too?

Owen: Yeah.

Cody: So why don't you jump in?

Owen: NO!!

That just cracked me up, to hear a 4 year old say that, and know what it means! Too smart! :)

Jaycee was okay with the water, I actually think she liked it, but it would've been better had the pool been heated. If we held her close, she was okay with walking in with us. Just the deeper we got, she would breath real heavy until she got used to it. It was kind of cute! Then to warm up, she'd stick her toes in the hot tub. It was definitely too hot to do any more than that.

Everyone had a fun time. The boys (as in my husband and brothers) had a great time playing keep away and 500 with one of Talon's little footballs! Then some of us stayed up playing games. It was pretty fun!

Just Cute

Here are just some cute pictures and a video I thought you might all enjoy...

Just showing off her walking skills!

Thinks she can go up the stairs all by herself and STAND on them without falling over backwards! Yeah, right. There have already been a few times I have caught her, and yet, it doesn't scare her from doing it!Just showing what a good walker she has become! So big! Sitting on a big chair at Grandma's counter! It works great, because for now, we can just scoot it in all the way and it hugs her in there since the sides come around kind of. She stays there and eats (with someone close at all times) when Kayani is using the highchair! She's kind of waving to the camera, too, but looks more like she's giving a lecture of some sort! :) If you look close to your left, you can kind of notice a tiny barrette. She's finally getting hair long enough to do something other than just put a headband in.Her cute first summer outfit of the season....too bad she had to wear winter clothes the very next day! Stupid Utah weather!

Happy Birthday/St. Patrick's Day

Sunday we celebrated mine & Natalie's birthdays at mom's house. Mine is today, and Natalie's is on the 20th! We got together and had dinner, and cake & ice cream, and just play around. It was great fun! I love getting together with everyone! I love my family, and I'm so grateful for all they do for us, they're wonderful!

Jayce in her St. Patrick's Day dress.

Me with my green birthday cake!Natalie with her mysterious birthday cake! :)This is the answer to why that cake is so mysterious.....Jack is pregnant!!!! :) j/k Of course, he's going to be a daddy, but he is obviously not the one who is pregnant! They are due November 3rd, I believe. We are all so excited! The fun will never end with all the babies entering our crazy family! Natalie said she has already been so sick. So hopefully, for her sake, that will pass and she will be able to enjoy this wonderful experience. Congratulations you two!Just cute little Sierra being silly! I had lots of green necklaces, thanks to Uncle Kent, so we took them and shared them with all the kids, and Sierra just wanted to suck on hers, but thought it was easy to just put it in her mouth, and let it hang, rather than hold it in with her hands! :) She's so stinking big, and her personality is coming out more and more, and it's so dang cute!Everyone just hanging out and eating cake & ice cream. Notice Kayani on Jack's lap being a pig, she has cake all over the place! I guess Jack will learn how to control that soon enough! :) I love the boys' faces too, it really shows all their personalities pretty well!Cute Aub's, who now blows bubbles and thinks she's pretty funny! She's getting so big too, and still looks a lot like her brother!Poor Jessica was trying to eat her cake & ice cream in peace, but now that two little beggar girls are mobile, she couldn't eat hers all by herself, instead, she had to share, just to keep them from climbing on her! :)

I just want you to notice the "love" in these two songs...watch mine first, then Natalie's.

Even if they hurt me like that on my birthday, I know they still do truly love me! :) Like I said, crazy, crazy people these poor children have to learn to live with! And, by the way Natalie, you won't get it so great for too much longer, so enjoy that one while you could!

Jaycee and Puppy

My cousin, Rex, got a Great Dane puppy. She is 12 weeks old, and is much bigger than Jaycee. He brought her over and Jaycee loved looking at her but only from a distance! It was pretty cute. One of the times, Ilsa (the pup) came right up to Jaycee's face, and Jaycee grabbed her snout and pushed her away. It was so funny. She is a very pretty puppy and was well behaved. Rex says she'll be full grown by the end of the year or something like that, which is amazing to me.
She just wasn't quite sure what to think! But was still very cute with her. We tried to get her to pet the dog, but she wouldn't allow that. She'd immediately pull her hand away.

Oh NO, She's Walking!!!!

Jaycee wasn't satisfied with crawling for too long....she officially took her first steps on March 10th, but here are some videos of her still trying to master the walking a couple of days later. The last one is of her being stubborn and not walking, so I just got her to wave instead. She waves at everyone and everything all the time!

Jaycee Loves her Daddy

Ryan plays games with Jaycee all the time, and it is so cute. His normal thing is to leave the room and then start saying, "fee fie foe fum, I smell the blood of a Jaycee-man..." and as he does that, Jaycee looks around the room and then once she sees him coming, she'll crawl toward him, or just sit in anticipation grinning from ear to ear. Once he gets closer, she'll turn and crawl away from him. It's pretty cute! It's like she's not scared of him, but yet she knows he wants her to run. So here are a couple of videos so you can hear her cute laugh, and see how much she LOVES it when daddy plays with her.
