Zoo Fun!

My days off have now switched to Sunday/Monday, so since Mom & Misti were already going to be watching Cody and Benji's kids, we planned a trip to the Zoo. Jessica and Sierra ended up not being able to come, so we had all the other 6 grand kids, Grandma, Misti, Mary, & Me! It was quite fun! We were supposed to leave early in the morning so it wasn't hot.....two hours later....off we went! :) All the kids were really well behaved and had a good time I think! Aubree loved it, surprisingly!!! She was so cute! They loved seeing all the different animals, and we had a great time spending the day with all of them! :)

First thing in the morning...time for her first nap of the day...can't tell can ya?!?! :)Little Miss Kayani, ready to get out and see the animals!Little Miss Sunshine!!! She LOVED the Zoo!All the kids in front of the giant elephant. This thing makes noises, and Ethan was the first one over to it, and he jumped about 6 feet because it made some weird noise from sensing him there! It was hilarious!!!All but Grandma in front of the Rhino! This is how Mary held Kayani up to the windows to see the monkey's! I thought it was funny!Looking at the Zebras. The cheesy boys on the cooler...this was their ride and step stool! They had a great time together as you can see!Stopping for lunch. Yum! Yum!Can't see.....Peek-A-Boo!Best Buds!!!This is what she looked like most of the time! She's so stinkin' cute! :)Blowing kisses, mainly for Uncle Ryan, in front of the giraffes! For daddy! We love you, and wish you could've been there to see the giraffes with us! Mwah!!! :)These giraffes were eating, so I was hoping to get a little tongue for Ryan...but it didn't happen. :( As much as Ryan hates giraffes, they really always have been my favorite animal at the zoo, so sorry babe!

Owen matching up to the gorilla.Ethan sizing up.Talon's a little closer, but still not quite!"Wow! What the heck is that?"Grandma couldn't get out of all the pictures! he he he :) Acting like gorillas. Our three monkeys!Turning things around for once...we'd pull the three of them with the cooler and other bags, so Misti decided to have them pull her. It was pretty funny, but they did it with all the muscles in their bodies!Mom & I went to change Jaycee and Kayani, and when we came back we couldn't find the boys......hmmmm.........OH there they are! :) Such goofy little boys!Attack Aunt Misti!!!

Everyone was hot and tired and crashed on the way home, but we all had a wonderful day together at the zoo!!!

Syracuse Heritage Days

Syracuse has Heritage Days the weekend before the 4th each year. They have a breakfast, parade, booths, and fireworks. It's usually pretty fun, but this year all we could do was the parade because Jaycee was sick and the parade goes right in front of our house. Mom came to see the parade, and we went out to sit with her. Jayce was still in her jammies 'cause she had just woken up, but she still liked it, and got some toys and candy. It wasn't much, but it was still fun!
This is her scrunchy nose face she makes all the time lately! I love it! You can also see the chocolate all over her face from the tootsie roll she had, and thoroughly enjoyed!Watching the parade with Grandma! The two balls kids just brought to her because they thought she was sooooo cute! :) Because she is!

Mommy's Little Helper

Jaycee is getting so big and loves to get into everything! I was sorting laundry the other day and she decided she needed to help me!

Such a big helper!

I think she may have been thinking, "get that out of my face!" :)

Too stinkin' cute! Look at those bottom teeth...she now has 3 1/2 on the top.

All that hard work doing the laundry makes a girl tired! :)

Advice Book

So...Ryan's cousin is getting married, and us girls were invited to a bridal shower. Diana had mentioned she would help put together a book for people to write advice in. Well we had two ideas...

#1 is called a Circle Journal by kmckay designs (kmckaydesigns.com). My Aunt Pam had one made for my cousin Ali for her bridal showers, and I thought it was super cute. Each person filled out the page of advice and she took their picture and then put it together as you see below, but more into a book.

I have a template of it, if anyone ever wants it, I can email it to you. Just let me know!

#2 is made of paper lunch sacks. Mandy had one given to her at her wedding, so we took it and copied how it was made, and this is how it turned out.

I think it turned out really cute! It took 4 of us, about 4 hours to make, but I thought it was fun!

While we were making it, the boys were supposed to be watching the girls. Some of the time, they got a little distracted playing games, but it was okay. Here is a cute picture of them with some funny face glasses on!

Jaycee's kept falling off cause her head was too small I guess.

Peek-A-Boo!

My mom's banisters aren't put up yet and Jaycee noticed that they were hollow, so she started playing peek-a-boo with Aunt Mary. It was pretty cute! :)

We found a large ribbon and put it on her like a 'Miss America' sash, and off she went to climb the stairs...
